Harry has been teaching at Fork's for over 20 years. Harry was the drummer on the hit records "Wild Fire" and "Carolina in the Pines" By Michael Martin Murphy. Harry has taught lessons and done volunteer work at many of Nashville's schools including: Meigs Middle, Martin Luther King High, Hume Fogg Academic High, J.T. Moore Middle School, Sylvan Park Paidea School, University School, David Lipscomb, and Montgomery Bell Academy.
While attending Indiana University, Harry studied jazz with David Baker and Percussion with George Gaber. He won the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award at Intercollegiate Music Festival in St. Louis. As a high school student in Chattanooga, Harry played with the Chattanooga Symphony and Youth Orchestra. He was a free lance jazz and rock drummer, attended University of Tennessee Band Camps, played in the East Ridge High School Band and was 1st Chair of the Tennessee All-State Band. As a professional drummer, Harry recorded the CBS NFL Today Percussion solo theme and performed National ads for Frontier Airlines.
He's recorded albums with jazz guitarist Larry Coryell including "Offering" and "Live at Village Gate". He has made many recordings as a Nashville studio drummer and was drummer for over 10 years and the Grand Ole Opry show with the 4 Guys Vocal Group.
Harry's students have won numerous 1st place awards and regional MTSBOA Honors Band Programs and in solo and ensemble festivals including Ian Nagy of Hume Fogg High School, 1st Place All State Jazz Band 2009.
